It's the cascade effect. The US has so much financial sway that whatever happens in the US usually Cascades down to other markets. Just remember, it's only Thursday in the US so we could see some selling pressure heading into the US Friday session. We could see a cautious approach to trade today as investors think twice about holding positions into the weekend.
