    Disagree. The banks/cc companies have had a virtual monopoly on money lending for years.
    There's a reason this is called disruptive tech.
    Why are they now chasing the same tech.
    Why didn't they make these same offers years ago instead of charging exorbitant interest rates. Do they warn you about credit card debt being unaffordable by signing you up. BNPL is not adding to the massive gouging of credit card companies it's offering an alternative.
    The hypocrisy of bank representatives warning of the dangers of bnpl is laughable. Look at how annual debt to credit cards/banks is falling in Australia. I know individuals who have been trapped in credit card debt. You might say it's their fault but the banks have a moral duty of care which they do not abide by. You talk of mortgages, same thing. In the next 3 to 4 years, in Oz I'm talking about, interest rates are going to catch a lot of 90 to 100% mortgagees. Mainly young 1st home buyers and do the banks care....NO
