I take your point on the business side of it. IOU have recruited pretty well at board level recently. Calvin (HC's patron Saint) one of those who's been pretty impressive. I think it's another factor which needs time to evolve as they're fairly newish hires with very short turnaround between hire and launch.

As for Apple and Google. Anyone's guess how that impacts all players. Probably has wider impacts to banks IMO. Biden already has his eyes focused on their influence and monopoly like behavior. I can't see this helping their situation. Plus China has clearly flagged their intentions to curb monopoly's. Could be the perfect storm for smaller players.
