    it only shows the popularity of BNPL sector - PayPay, Square others. It is a better alternative of using credit cards with still interest rates of 10-20% depending where you live.

    when you see likes of Standard Chartered entering the BNPL market and locally CommSec you can tell they can see what is coming especially the economic situation of an average person. he/she might as well pay in installments then be out of pocket for another 10-20% that is also tied to compounding penalties for late payments. Not to forget they have overhead costs of traditional finance as well...

    IOU is not just BNPL, It is a digital bank/payment processor too so having the diversification is key to survive current post pandemic economies.

    so the only outlook I see there is enough market growth for all players to reap benefits. they all will take chunk out of credit cards. IMO

    at least Malaysia/ SEA region will not be locked down after they fully open if cases rise again unlike here which is a very good possibility if things get out of hand in coming months. they simply cannot afford it while we have a money printer that'll go brrrrrr $$$$$ tongue.png
