Do you see any correlation between USD and US markets? Inverse correlation. Seems to show USD weakness when US markets are strong as everyone is swapping dollars for shares/assets. When the sell offs occur and everyone wants out out of shares/assets and into cash, USD rises. There is never enough dollars to cover the redemptions in a hard sell off so the USD usually spikes. When everyone is chasing stocks/assets, the USD falls. It has been a good barometer of market sentiment. Inversely. imo.
