Real Estate agents do not dictate price , estimates are presented and as with everything , the market dictates the price .

Its not difficult to work out if your price is realistic or note , but all the agent is ..is a marketer for the Vendor .

Sure its easy to think your house is worth 500 k when its really worth 350k , just means you will not achieve a sale .

Markets dictate price , real estate agents provide estimates . Real estate agents prefer motivated vendors ..Ones that actually want to sell , as Im sure most here would understand .
