usually not an issue selling shares after a great announcement - if the market is fully informed and has all currant relevant information he can sell if it's not a blackout period
It is a problem if he sells before a bad announcement knowing information the market is not privy to.
Therefore he wouldn't be selling prior to a shit storm or he would get covered in it
