    What is interesting is the new technology being developed by Alcoa and Rio Tinto is based on new design technology of the Anodes and Cathodes for Aluminium Smelting.
    Although it's probably different technology to battery Anode and Cathodes, it may have some relevance and some of their research could be incorporated, applied, into battery technology. Whether some basic principles can be transferred or not from aluminium smelting Anodes and Cathodes, into battery tech remains to be seen. But if read up a little on the environmental benefit of their new technology, Elysis.. lower green house gas emissions are claimed, it seems their partnership has major technological advantages over traditional tech.

    Do we have something similar brewing in battery technology with EGR and the research done in the battery Alliance.
    There is mention of it from Roly... But no details yet.
    Let's not forget Andrew Spinks from EGR is our largest shareholder, and any research and spending on battery tech would need to be funded.
    Perhaps Alcoa want in on this battery action.. hence is possible part of the downstream products to do with the HPA joint venture.

    Alcoa's Technical Center provides support to ELYSIS for the materials used to manufacture proprietary materials for the new anodes and cathodes that are essential to the ELYSISTM process. The Rio Tinto technology team in France is creating commercial scale designs for the ELYSIS™ technology so it can be retrofitted into existing smelters or used for new ones.
