Today’s trades could either have been someone getting a large buy order filled or shorters taking even larger positions. Difficult to say without having up to date info on number of shares being shorted. Last update from 3 days ago showed it has increased to almost 20m shares in last week.

Decided to get out at 31c as I think it’s shorters taking a position before bad news breaks. Will get back in once dust settles, even if I have to pay a bit more in the event of it being good news.
Only thing I am sure of is that there was no way the sp would get past 33c today. Anytime it even thought about getting close the sell side got flooded with order – which were pulled once other people started selling.

Tomorrow will be interesting if gold holds above $1,300
