What I don’t understand in this whole review is why do we continue to pump gas from the Burrup to Perth when that gas could be supplied out of the Perth Basin. This policy is costing a fortune in pipeline charges. I suggest the policy should allow for Offshore Producers to have the ability to swap gas with Onshore Producers to keep the Karatha gas plant running and at capacity. It just does not make sense to pump gas in the south north for LNG export and at the same time pump gas from the north south for domestic use.
What am I missing?
