A case for hard assets

With all this talk of recession and crashes floating around in the internet sometimes it affects one’s thinking and prevents him from investing in the stock market of any other assets. Attached are some charts which tell a story. All charts are monthly line charts with a log base. When you look at the charts you can clearly see whenever there is a big base the upside is big when it breahout.

First the spy which is the etf representing the spx. We can clearly see that it has been trending up since her inception. The chart is saying we are still in an uptrend despite all the gloom and doom. Bear in mind the stock market is not the same as main street. We may have recession but it does not necessary mean that we will have a long term downtrend in the stock market.
