A clinical trial for Viraleze

The difficulty of organising a clinical trial for Viraleze is a challenge. Quite unlike the testing of a vaccine.

With a vaccine one injects and sends the vaccinated out into the community then measures the rate of infection of the vaccinated compared with the unvaccinated.

Obviously you cannot do this with a nasal spray.

But perhaps you could test as follows:

1. All trial participants must be fully vaccinated (to protect against death and serious disease).
2. Trial participants would do this in quarantine conditions and be tested beforehand.
3. Half would be given the nasal spray and the rest a placebo.
4. Exposure to nebulised live COVID virus in a room or virus on a swap introduced to the nose.
5. tests after incubation period.

Compare nasal spray participants against others.

This would be an expensive test but would not have to involve a large number of participants (perhaps 100).

Would not take very long.
