My OP describes this exactly. Still awaiting a response from anyone that cares to offer up an explanation.

Incoming solar radiaition less albedo = output. Output represents -18C surface temperature. Which i dispute anyway. Should be average atmosphere temperature. Not surface! Nonetheless they introduce back radiaition to increase earths surface temperature with NO change in OUTPUT.
