I think this is the first time in a generation a major fossil fuel commodity is being phased out and abandoned... market will take some time to fully understand this... at least the exit for the doors is orderly.

I cannot think of another example or resource where this has occurred in living memory, although the closest comparison might be uranium ?

However there are still hundreds of nuclear reactors around the world today despite the price of the resource being decimated and it is still considered part of the clean energy mix with zero emissions.

Also, what is going to happen when the avalanche of coal from Adani hits the market.... goes to show that even billionares can fail to predict the future.
