Just a thought: If the company is currently valued at approx $650-700 million, why wouldn't any interested buyer in the coal launch a takeover bid for the company at say $2-$2.5, valuing the company at approx $1-1.25 billion (the reported price for galilee)? This would give them all 3 tenements, although they will also get the UCG business plus all the other leases that LNC has.
Certainly seems a cheaper way to get the land, although it will require shareholder approval. I would imagine PB would encourage shareholders to reject the proposal immediately though
