It will come as no surprise to those who have read my posts over the last decade.
ASIC is a national disgrace.
However, while this sort of activity creates a continuous drain of funds and depresses prices it is not the main game as far as SPL is concerned. It impacts retail investors who needs to sell parcels and it may create the wrong impression of the market price for a corporate buyer of the firm.
As suggested it also will also cause a significant demand should the price rise as short sellers seek to cover.
In the end it will make little difference to our returns. I hope!
