I think we all need to clearly understand that the speccy end of the market these days is firmly in the hands/control of short term traders. The market dynamics have changed post GFC. I know a small retail player who has traded SIR nearly 20 times. Its get set take a ride, sell, pick the buy back level, take a ride, sell and so on and so on.
The days of buy and hold are over unless you like watching the highs and lows continually and can take and accept the frustrations.
