Most viruses CAN survive outside of the human body for a period of time, that’s in no way unique to this virus. There’s zero evidence this virus will be worse than SARS ever was. SARS spread to 17 countries before they even knew what they were dealing with, and it took them five months to properly identify it.
Being able to create the virus in a lab is enables much better testing protocols - which is why they immediately shared it with the WHO (who must also be fooling themselves?!?) - and moves us towards a vaccine, which incidentally still doesn’t exist for SARS.
That’s that last time I’ll comment on this in the ADN thread, because it’s clear people have their positions on this and they’re not going to change, but please can I just ask we try to keep the virus related conversation specifically on topic to ADN? I admit I’ve been guilty of not doing that. Have a great day everyone.
