Totally agree. On the last close SP the SP is up 9.5% in roughly in 3 weeks. People have to look at the bigger picture and not the daily movement.
In one way I am lucky that I have to pay child support, as this means there has to be very large downward swings in SP to warrant a sell and buy back in after taking tax and child support into account. If I had of sold at last high and rebought at last close my share holding would have reduced by over 30%. A 30% drop in shares when dividends roll around would be a killer given mine life estimates.
Oh and just incase anyone thinks I hold and not sell just to reduce child support that is not the case as this financial year I have taken profits elsewhere that will support her way more than is needed and leave money for things like a car and future education after school.
