Royal Commissions may well be expensive , not when compared on how much money is lost by investors & traders from the non level playing field.
However self preservation is the biggest motivating factor , and more so for the pollies, and SCOMO well knows which way his bread is buttered so by putting the blowtorch on him with the other blowtorches pointing at him currently he may have no choice but to have a Royal Commission to investigate the sector.
The ASX is the biggest casino in the land, bar none, and a lot of money is lost due to the shananigans that is allowed to prevail.
