When I look at stocks I think about timeframe for a position that will get me to a $1M holding. That kind of amount can be life-changing. The earlier you build a position the better.

That's why I spend so much time looking at resource potential and associated share prices. I then size my position with the above general goal in mind. The earlier you can understand potential before a resource or scoping study is released the better.

Very difficult analysis to do for a stock like ADN because their resource and their strategy is so unique.

Very easy to do this type of analysis for gold stocks - if you can get a feel for size of resource that will be defined. Nearology, historic exploration results can be helpful for this early analysis. Easier if the company has an exploration target or there is strong nearology. You need to learn what to look for and you also need to understand significance of exploration results.
