    I still have my IG account, and there's no stop-loss available that I can see. Mind you, this is through the Share Trading account rather than the CFD account. I've not used that, so perhaps stop-losses are available there.

    As for the other issue of my buys getting blocked, it happened several times. I spoke with IG about it, and apparently they automatically block buys in companies that have moved more than a certain amount during the day. Not sure what the amount is, exactly, but I do remember that it first happened to me when I was trying to buy PO3 at around $1.77 on the day they announced they had raised money at $2.40. It did get fixed after I called them, but it meant that my buy ended up being higher (~$1.99) due to the delay. The way various IG people explained it to me was that it was out of their control, and that the blocks were put in place by their brokers.

    TLDR: Am now using CMC, and find them infinitely preferable to IG. No hassles, just easy trading.
