The bottom line here is that the responsibility specifically for Aged care rests with the Commonwealth Minister and the Current Government generally.
Both the Minister and the PM have apologised for the shortcomings of Aged care and they have promised to fix it presumably by throwing more taxpayers money at it, tighter regulations and better staff training.
IMO, the model is broken and we need a new model implemented and supervised by Local Government Health departments who have
people on the ground to ensure quality Aged care.
Again, IMO, most of the extra Government funds promised will go to shareholders/stakeholders and not to day to day quality care.
Add to that Community involvement including Community Volunteers
