Yeah - I got mostly stopped out earlier but this AIS share price continues to plummet irrespective of metal prices and exchange rates, turnaround in copper prices needed, as well as cost of mining needing to normalise.
AMI still losing money as well in their latest results (just not as badly as previous results) and as a group of peers there are currently no underground mines making money in Australia except for some WA gold mines. All base metal mines from copper, lead, zinc, tin and nickel mines seem to be cash-flow negative at the moment, so it will be interesting to see who is next to make the decision to switch off supply. Already had some closures due to low prices plus a few mines get flooded or have geotechnical/seismic or grade issues, or exhausted of mineable ore.
Looking for a counter-cyclic entry point at some point around here, but there seems to be almost no resistance to the AIS share price falling further so tricky to pick an entry point on this one.
