What your missing is risk changes rationality. There is nothing rational about what is going on right now, the evidence of this is in the manifest volatility you see everywhere. There is a possibility that simply cannot be translated into a probability that AJM dies and trying to reconcile this is making many people summon just that cognitive dissonance that emerges when we animals are exposed to extended periods of stress.
