Hardware Engineer II Grade 6
Location: Allentown, PA

Job Description:
Responsible for the Validation & characterization of Silicon Photonics based driver ICs
***
Responsibilities
* Validation of photonic driver ICs for Telecom, Datacom & other applications
* Design of experiments & statistical analysis of measurements
* Lead laboratory characterization & verification efforts for validating designs
* Data/yield analysis and presentation of results to internal audience
* Ensure that designs meet product specifications & can be successfully transferred into volume manufacturing
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Minimum of Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering and 2 years experience required
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
* Experience testing Serdes/CDR and high speed data path
* Mixed signal testing, DAC, ADC characterization
* Experience using scopes, signal generators, BERT, Spectrum analyzers, PNA etc.
* PCB design using Allegro or other equivalent tools
* FPGA prototyping
* Experience with I2C, SPI and other such serial protocols
* Experience in generating test plans/characterization reports
* Experience in S Parameter Measurements and Signal Integrity knowledge
* Programming knowledge - Python, Visual Basic etc. is a strong plus
* Experience in Optical Testing is a strong plus
* You must be a team player with excellent verbal & written communications skills including the ability to work effectively across multiple sites with different time zones
* Business travel across multiple Cisco and partner sites will be required
