sometimes you just don't understand the beast

sometimes you just don't understand the beast (asx market).

imo i would have thought under normal circumstances yesterdays announcement would have created more interest (as per previous announcement re:joint venture).

for some reason the market perhaps didn't understand the significance of the announcement.

perhaps investors might jump when the actual document "Joint Partnership Agreement
(JPA) with Norwest, which it anticipates will be executed by the end of this" is signed an announcement is made.

it's probably a better deal for nido, in as much they are being free carried on forward costs.

and a good deal for norwest energy nl, as they have a partner in which they'll work extremely well together.

as stated in yesterdays announcement it also includes "As part of the HOA, Nido and Norwest will also work under an Area of Mutual
Interest (AMI) to jointly pursue other North Sea opportunities. Both Nido and
Norwest have been pursuing other opportunities in the North Sea and given the
size of interests available, the companies believe that by working together they
will be able to be more effective in strengthening their acreage position in the
North Sea."

this relationship will include other opportunities, which in itself is excellent. this means nido doesn't need too waste time in looking for other interested parties.

what was probably thought that anything happening in the north sea area might be sometime away, now looks as though it could be on the move very quickly.

with the above and whats happening in the Philippines, the next few months (6-12months). will be an exciting time for shareholders and those thinking about becoming one (could that be me..????).
