And I Thought DDT Had Been Banned

Today’s trade in EMH reminds me of those old T-shirts, “My parents went to XXX, and all I got was this lousy T-shirt.” In EMH’s case, the T-shirt would read, “I traded over 4m shares and all I got was a lousy 1 cent price increase.” Well, at least we’re confirming the break of the 15c level.

This was the largest volume day in over 5 months for EMH and it seems as though the stock is back on the radar of the Dreaded Day Traders (DDT). When are these guys going to learn that you don’t make serious money in the market scalping around for half a cent? Heck, how many times do you need to read the stats – 90-95% of DDT LOSE money.

You want to make money? Find a good story (like EMH), write a cheque, put your feet up, relax, and then watch your chickens come home to roost. That’s how you make SERIOUS money in the market. No doubt it’s not as exciting as day trading but it’s vastly more profitable.

On the plus side, at least the DDT add liquidity.
