probably the people in the regional centres that would benefit, sponsors, and it always gets a decent TV audience but not a huge one.
the issue isn’t whether they should have the comm games. They should have done enough homework before they bid. This is placing a great event in severe jeopardy. They also sold it significantly when they won and during the recent election. They could also look at doing it in current facilities rather than the expensive option they went with. They have damaged the reputation of all Australians.
