IS THE FUTURE HERE YET? {This post is for long term (10+years) investors}
In writing this I'm thinking of my granddaughters (4 & 6 yo) and what $50,000 invested now might be worth when they turn 18. This note is not for short term investors/traders who have different investment objectives.
There's enough in high purity kaolin, HPA, cement additive & zircon replacement to keep everyone happy.
One of the reasons HNT/CNT did not progress is that it is very expensive to separate halloysite (tubes) from kaolin (plates). That's why it sells for USD5000/t. But the time will come when ADN has the cashflow to take this up again. Or it could find an industry partner and spinoff Natural Nanotech with ADN shareholders getting free shares in the SpinCo - Andromeda Tech? Of course taking this process from the lab to commercial production has many pitfalls as we all know BUT scientists and engineers have shown time and time again that given enough money most problems can be solved. I have faith in our STEM graduates to do this. (I was very sick when the carbon capture pilot plant at Newcastle Uni failed. I have no idea what the problem was. Perhaps someone at ADN has informed the market while I was away.)
==============
I was reminded recently about a statement either James Marsh or Prof Vinu made about the DEBEL partnership, submarines and $3m worth of carbon nanotubes per submarine. It's not a huge number but it shows the potential.
DEBEL continues to fund Vinu's research but the halloysite nanotubes to CNTs that was a breakthrough made by Vinu & his team at Newcastle Uni is 100% owned by Natural Nanotubes P/L a subsidiary of ADN.

“GICAN is not only developing innovative materials by using nanotechnology, but also improving their performance by tuning surface functionalities, structure, morphology and textural properties for applications in various fields including carbon capture and conversion, solar and fuel cells, catalysis, biotechnology, drug delivery, water treatment, and sensors.”

"Pioneered by a team at The University of Newcastle, the process uses Australian Kaolin clay, which contains tiny tubular structures called Halloysite nanotubes (HNT). Due to their unique structure HNT have amazing properties, making them ideal for binding to a range of molecules and effectively ‘cleaning’ by absorbing."
"Additionally, Professor Vinu's team has developed high-purity functionalized single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) for various applications, including catalysis, energy storage, and environmental remediation."
Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes (SWCNTs)Research-grade SWCNTs: Typically priced between $75 and $300 per gram, depending on purity and functionalization.
High-purity functionalized SWCNTs: Can cost up to $1,000 per gram for specialized applications.
