Maybe simplistic but for the underwriter to take on the risk they must be more than happy with the price of 25c.Now if they wanted to buy volume on market well they are going to have to pay a lot more (plus no underwriting fee) so why not instill some uncertainty to share price thereby those entitled to shares may feel they can buy on market cheaper later.I reckon the underwriter would be more than happy to take as many as possible.
