You can't give Wayne praise for fighting through a mess of his own making, particularly when it is entirely in his best interests to fight on.
I don't know whether Wayne has the qualities you mentioned or not. What I do know is that I can't trust what he says. Star Bright has negotiated 3 board members. That means they don't trust the current board to look after their interests. Not sure how they feel about Wayne but time will tell.
While Ratty did screw us all, and probably wasn't board material, he at least believed in the company at some point and put a lot of money in. Wayne has clearly demonstrated he is very uncomfortable investing in his own story/bull.
