He made much of the Astrazeneca decision to cancel the clinical trial of AZD0466 as the principal cause of the share price drop. I would agree that this in no way reflected badly on Starpharma technology. But to suggest that this was the major cause is just bullshit.

This company has known for years that Mundipharma was neither marketing nor distributing its BV product. Those of us who have been around for a while will recall this as being the major asset. A huge market, Phase 3 trials completed and a non antibiotic alternative hailed by some specialist physicians. A commercial disaster of the highest order which management has still not fixed. A measly $6M for five wasted years. Even in Australia despite being able to convince the TGA it still hasn't convinced the medical community that SPL7013 is an alternative to Metronidazole, which it clearly is!.

And let is not forget the consistent denial that they ever received a CRL from the FDA, just a request for further clinical data.

Then we have Viraleze! They did a safety trial in WA, There are other companies doing clinical trials of the prophylactic and curative features of their treatments but we have not. Just mice and test tubes. We were told such trials cost many huge amounts but this is not necessarily so. A treatment trial has been forced upon us which might prove something but it was the prophylactic performance which was its purpose.

Smart investors read the small print and it is this sort of non performance is the reason for our demise.\\Only management change can fix this so good luck to the new CEO.
