Its is an issue for cropping farmers, wheat etc. Nutrients build up a barrier in the soils and the plant cannot get it roots down as it acts like a wall restricting growth( yields) etc.
It is actually quite a big problem especially with more land holders moving away from "tilling" the soil. Global scale opportunity.
