Ann: ALC signs contract with Sydney LHD for Miya Precision, page-2

Hi all,

This morning we announced an initial 12-month contract with Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) that will see Alcidion implement Miya Precision to support the monitoring of COVID-19 cases in a virtual care setting. The value of this initial contract is $560K, with the right to extend for a further 12 months.

Implementation is already underway and will see the Miya Precision base platform deployed at SLHD’s virtual hospital (rpavirtual) to remotely monitor patients with COVID-19 who are isolating at home. Under this remote monitoring model, COVID-19 patients will be given virtual at-home care using personal monitoring devices and a mobile app issued to each patient. rpavirtual staff will use Miya Precision to monitor vital signs and patient status 24 hours a day, in near-real time.

SLHD is one of the leading metropolitan Local Health Districts in New South Wales with approximately 12,000 staff. We are very pleased to enter this partnership with SLHD and support the district’s critical short-term requirements for monitoring COVID-19. In the longer term, we hope this initial contract will be a platform to expand the use of Miya Precision at SLHD and assist in innovating the delivery of healthcare across the entire district – in hospital, community and at-home settings.
