These maintenance problems do seem to be growing - another 737 Boeing in Japan on the weekend had to turn backto the airport after pilots spotted a windshield crack.; https://www.reuters.com/business/ae...rns-back-due-cockpit-window-crack-2024-01-13/
However the problems are long term: eg the same window issue was cited back in 2013 along with a big list of others ; https://www.forbes.com/sites/steved...lessons-every-ceo-must-learn/?sh=5008bc2f15c1 .. along with multiple other problems.
As with those bolts in the recent door incident, CVM ‘fixes’ could not be applied to all, but there’s clearly an absolute welter of maintenance problems at Boeing over a timespan as old as this company.
But (importantly for us?) whereas nothing has changed there, I think SMN has changed. I think it was in the ‘wrong’ hands back in early days (early managements were bent on pumping an immature tech along with outsourcing its’ actual development?) whereas Ross Love’s tenure has seen the company taking stronger control of CVM progress along with driving awareness.

- And I think it would be very ‘nice’ for Boeing if it could release some positive news in the near future.
