I had the same response. James is squarely where he needs to be as this is where his knowledge and passion lies and can be the most effective. The role of CEO is a position in its own right moving forward as ADN moves towards FID/construction/produciton.
The role of CEO can also be quite political when dealing with a listed company vs a private entity. I have been a CEO in the private sector and would never wish to get involved as CEO in a publicly traded company.
This is definately the correct move and I'm sure Bob will also bring an entirely new network of connections and corporate strategy.
IMO, This is also fantastic opportunity for Bob considering this should be ADN's company making year....
