I was a member of the ASA for a while a few years ago. Their company monitors are volunteers. I think for the large caps they often have more than one monitor. For a non-bluechip like ADN, it will have been a matter of someone putting their hand up and volunteering to take it on.

I've just sent an email to the ASA letting them know some of the feedback I've been reading here about their delegate. Unfortunately I was not able to make the meeting today and I note that the youtube link has now been set to private. So I am relying on the account given here. Many thanks to @rush for your ball-by-ball coverage.

I also said in my email that I understand that the ASA supported all resolutions and in doing so they were clearly out of step with the majority of shareholders because the remuneration report received a first strike and resolutions 10 & 11 were withdrawn because they did not achieve shareholder support.

I actually think the ASA would welcome receiving feedback from people who attended the meeting today.

As others have said above, the AGM is done now; ancient history. Time to move on.
