The Doherty Institute is a research organisation. An unincorpororated partnership between Melbourne University and Royal Melbourne Hospital. The VIDRL is an arm of the Institute.

The Institute is not a corporate business and would have no conflict of interest in researching and testing a variety of similar tests.

As was posted here by @nastyG (#49978823) Doherty has been working with saliva samples since April 2020 and had conducted tests in 3 Victorian police stations by end September 2020. Of course, none of this involved Anteo and IMO it is almost certain that the currently referenced saliva tests are not ours.

However (via VIDRL) they ARE RUNNING our clinical trials, most likely with nasal swabs and saliva samples.

At the appropriate time that testing will complete and report results. If those results prove our test is the "best" yet it will be a winner.

In the meantime, to assume that any mention of the use of new saliva testing involves Anteo is unwarranted and most likely wrong. Patience is still required.

Risk still exists and we cannot wish it away.
