So in a recent update, CM said that Starpharma are focused on increasing online sales of Viraleze in markets where they already have registration and can drive the marketing efforts. So expansion may have taken a back seat.

Adding ‘We are encouraged by the response to date from our campaigns in the UK and Germany, having already observed a significant increase in website visits and sales compared to last year.’

The upcoming quarterly revenue will be very interesting as these comments appear to be the first specific ‘enthusiastic guidance’ offered up by CM which infers an uptick in revenue from Viraleze.

But will it actually materialise or will shareholders be disappointed? After 17 years of previous over promising and under delivering across almost every facet of the company, I hope times are changing.

If total demand for Viraleze drops off (across all territories), I wonder what reduced volume would render the product uneconomical to manufacture?
