Thrasher, I must disagree with you. The U.S. is not making "billions in war profits". Rather the billions in cash and supplies the U.S. government is giving to Ukraine, with no accountability, is one more unfunded expense adding to the huge U.S. government debt. As for U.S. energy companies, it is a wonder they are able to generate any profits given the increased regulatory burden and restrictions placed on them by the government in the last two years. Europe's green energy policies may be part of the explanation.
I do agree that poor decisions by world governments during the Covid years is an on-going source of concern.
