Andromeda Metals Limited (ASX: ADN, Andromeda, the Company) is pleased
to announce the appointment of Mr Joe Ranford as Operations Director and
Project Manager for the Poochera Halloyiste-Kaolin Project.
Joe is currently a Non-Executive Director of the Company and with the recent
completion of the Pre-Feasibility Study, he will now take control and drive the
Project through the next critical stages. These comprise the completion of the
Definitive Feasibility Study and the preparation and submission of a mining
lease application, through to a decision to mine and subsequent
commencement of mining operations.
Joe is a mining engineer with significant experience gained in senior
management roles he has held with both domestic and international mining
companies. Most recently he held the role as Chief Operating Officer for
Nordic Gold Inc., a Canadian based company which was the previous owner
of the Laiva Gold Mine in Finland, where he re-established mining operations
and brought the project back into production from care and maintenance.
Prior to that time Joe was Operations Manager for Terramin Australia Limited
(ASX: TZN) where he managed all operational and technical aspects of the
Angas Zine Mine and championed the evaluation and approval processes for
the Bird in Hand Gold Project, both in the community sensitive Adelaide Hills
district of South Australia.
With the appointment of Joe, the team now assembled has considerable
experience in all aspects of bringing mining operations into production and
also has considerable knowledge of the South Australian mining approval
processes and management of key stakeholder relationships. The Board is
confident this experience and expertise will enable the Poochera Project to
successfully progress through the final evaluation phase and into production
in a timely and efficient manner.
