My answer:
Not uncommon to see FEED done post DFS. In fact typical.
The DFS is more your rough overall costing and economics for the project the FEED essentially delineates detailed costs for EPCM contracts.
DFS is essentially working out hey is this project profitable or not. What's rough capital?
FEED usually follows after that answer is determined, and then works out with greater details exactly what the design and costing for construction/capital is.
If that makes sense.
