As posted on a different thread:It appears from the announcement that JP Morgan Chase & co are buying at a high price, and selling the shares at a lower price. - thus pushing the SP down, and trading at a loss.
Why would they do that?Is the acquisition of SBM in the offing?
At an offer price of around $3.00; instead of $4.00 (or > $4.00); the acquirer would save themselves $1 billion if this is the case.
