its oxycontin I think you are referring to as to pain killer- an opiate like fentanyl (also causing major dramas in the US
Oxytocin is a hormone released by the brain, and particularly relevant with child birth amongst many other things, not much to do with pain relief I don't think from my Anatomy and Physiology lectures (although I wasn't renowned for attendance)
