I'd like to know more about how its road transport division is performing. It was the original company's sole enterprise.
Is LAU able to pass on increased diesel fuel costs to those with whom it has a contract, or other smaller entities who use LAU's trucks on an 'ad hoc' basis?
Is LAU able to find sufficient heavy vehicle drivers? What about staff turnover rates? Is the workforce in this subsector ageing as media elsewhere (general comment, not LAU-specific) has occasionally opined?
LAU does a good job of operating modern B-Doubles and the like and has an excellent safety reputation, but if trucks are sitting idle because of less demand or fewer available drivers, it has a cost to SH.
