Mr P is obviously confident about the future of APE.
While APE has previously made the point that inner city locations in say Melbourne are not what it aims for (as the cost of land makes acquisitions extraordinarily expensive), there should be good opportunities over the coming years for more consolidation of what at retail level still appears to be a fragmented sector.
There are multiple definitions of 'recession' but if we have one, will financing costs drive some independent retail dealers to the wall?
I don't see major shareholder SOL selling either, also a good sign.
