Smart people can still be dumb, blind or have ulterior motives. Plenty of examples of this in top tier corporations and governments alike.
All that tells us is he bought shares. Nothing more. You think there have been no occurances in history where CEOs bought shares in a declining company only to see it as a loss years later and selling at a loss? With the amounts these people get remunerated, the loss will be a drop in the ocean… and a tax write-off.
So why should it be a sure sign of a positive future?
