I did some calculations based on the value of the deal, the approx Cobalt per pound price in the footnote. of about US$14 per pound.
After converting Euros to US$ then pounds to kilos I get this real rough number crunch.
100M Euro deal over 5 years equals 20% of required Cobalt. 80% to come from Australia (presume over next 5 years also).
20M Euros = US$22.5M per year.
Footnote price of Cobalt about US$14.00 (assuming US$)
US$14 divided into US$22.6 = 1,614,000 pounds of Cobalt converted to Kilos 732,098.
If the average Cobalt content is 8Kg per vehicle then that deal makes 91,500 cars per year.
I would want a lot more fore our mixed sulfide product. So I am prepared to hold the shares for the raining day coming.
Please correct me anywhere in my calcs.
