Seems logical to move onto second stage drilling as soon as possible given that drilling in the region may come to a halt soon due to weather conditions. Personally I would prefer to see the company drilling as much as possible whilst they still can. Alternatively they could wait for results to come in before moving to stage 2 drilling but what happens if the area floods in the short term ? Seems like a wise gamble to me. Good luck all.
